FFT News - Winter 2010

This is our regular newsletter to keep you up to date with what is happening with Firm Foundation Trust activities and with our Silas Project. It is a great joy to us to have your continuing prayer and financial support for our work in Turkey. Please pray for our heavy publishing load in Istanbul over the next few months: particularly The Watch Maker's Daughter; Can We Trust The Gospels; and Revolutionary Forgiveness.

A Brief Review of 2009
We were blessed with excellent support from a good many trusts in 2009. As a result we were able to publish 8 titles during the year and have the funds to publish a further 12 titles. We were particularly pleased to get out the first of our commentaries, Exodus, in the excellent IVP Bible Speaks Today series. A further 8 commentaries are scheduled for publication in the coming months, providing much needed material for Christian pastors and leaders in Turkey.

We made encouraging progress with our DVD on the reliability of the Gospels, now entitled The Jesus Accounts - Fact of Fiction? A trailer has been published on our special Jesus Accounts website and we are now well into the editing stage. Availability of the final DVD scheduled for the third quarter of 2010.

During the year we initiated a publicity campaign for our Silas Project, and this is starting to bear fruit. We are making available a 15 minute audio visual presentation for showing in churches and small groups. A trailer of this DVD can be viewed online and you may request a copy of the full DVD if it would be useful to you. To continue and expand this vital work of supporting Turkish Christian pastors we are looking for more regular donations. We have set up PayPal arrangements for this purpose on our website. Regular gifts can also be received on our behalf in the USA by CMML.
